This is a beautiful stretch, which includes the junction with the Stort Navigation and the attractive Dobbs Weir, where the Lee Navigation again leaves the Old River Lea. There are riverside pubs at Rye House, Dobbs Weir and Broxbourne. The towpath, for the first time without its metalled surface, again crosses the Meridian. Close by at Nazeing Mead is one of the largest concentrations of the valley’s famous glasshouses.
