This route to the Thames was the climax of the Lea Valley Walk until the towpath link to the Limehouse Cut was restored. On this old route the River Lea is lost for much of the way. But at Canning Town the river reappears as the natural winding tidal Lea known as Bow Creek. The end for the walker is at East India Dock opposite the Millennium Dome near the mouth of the Lea which can be visited.
I want to know when the walk is open and is there a map available?
